Establishment about of Sri Sri Parihareswar devalaya

In the 7th century, the legendary king BHUTIVARMA established the Devalaya and issued some copper plates but in the long run all copper plates were destroyed. Next in the 7th century, the king Kumar BHASKARVARMA and his brother  SUPRATISTHITAVARMA  issued six new Copper Plates to Devalaya but in the long run the Devalaya was destroyed. The copper plates discovered while digging the earth near the Shiva temple called " PARIHARESWAR DEVALAYA " in the village Dubi. The copper plates are preserved in the state museum.  In the 17th century, a Brahman named Dharmabar, discovered the Shiva ling by digging in his agrofield when the Ahom king SHIVA SINGHA,  ruled Assam. The noble SHIVA SINGHA  came to know about the Shiva ling , and constructed a temple in the site and donated lands, Prist, pykes, Gayan, Bayan, Malakar for regular worship. Introduction of Sri Sri Parihareswar devalaya

The Parihareswar temple  also known as Dubi Parihareswar devalaya is a hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It's a one of the oldest precious temple. Situated on Dubi(Pathsala) of Barpeta district in south of Bajali area, Assam.   It is an important pilgrimage destination for  Hindus  and especially for tourist/  Tantric  worshipers/ devotees.   Dubi devalaya is situated in Dubi gaon  which is around 2.5 km to south of Pathsala of Bajali (Assam) . Tamro Lipi   of this devalaya composed in the 5th century talks about the origin of this form of Shiva and his final establishment in Dubi Gaon, where the present temple is located.  The present temple structure was constructed by the Ahom king Shiva Singha.   According to some historians the King Shiva Singha  constructed it in 7th century.
